See the full tour here

Source: Received an paperback ARC from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

My Thoughts:

5 stars - Not your ordinary romance, this book...this series will blow you away!

What's not ordinary?  The huge difference between JLA romance and other romance is the characters.  They are so real.  They deal with real issues.  They surprise you.  I love them.

Teresa's dream of dancing is on the line.  An injury has her looking at plan B so she's attending college.  She's not convinced this is what she's going to do, just what she's gonna do right now.  It's real life kinda situation.  She's trying to figure out who she is and what her life will be like.  The first scene does so much to have me loving her.  A certain Jase is being an a$$ and she isn't taking his $hit.  Good girl.  But the best thing was that she didn't shut down and die when rejected, she holds up her head and goes to class.

Jase has some issues not the least of which is the fact that the girl he lusts for is his best friends younger sister.  I so love it when a boy is trying so hard to resist something that he doesn't believe he can have.  And Jase is just adorable in that role.  He can't do it.  His cupcakes prove it.  So love the cupcakes in this book.  So fun.  But there is so much more here.  It's not simple and even as things come together, things fall apart again.  It's not smooth.  It's real.  It's messy.  It's wonderful.

But what I really need to explain without giving things away is that this journey of girl wants boy and boy is resisting girl is so much more than that.  I've read lots of books with that theme but this one is different.  There is so much character growth.  There are real issues to be overcome.  There is depth and emotions.  Yes, I was reading this one alone and I so don't recommend that.  I needed a reading buddy.  Several times, I was so stressed that I was afraid to read on but couldn't put it down.  I love that in a book.

Of course, I love JLA's writing.  Always have.  Her stories have twists and turns that make the story so much more than most.  I did figure out a few things but mostly just a page or two before the characters.

If you have read Wait for You, then you need this one immediately.  If you've ever loved a JLA book, then you need this one.  If you love romance that isn't ordinary, then you need this one.  You need this one.
