Trust In Me by J. Lynn ~ Review

Available TOMORROW!

It’s Wait for You as you’ve never seen it. Trust in Me lets you in on Cam’s side of the #1 New York Times Bestselling story.

Cameron Hamilton is used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to women. But when Avery Morgansten comes crashing into his life – literally – he finally meets the one person who can resist his soulful baby blues. But Cam’s not ready to give up. He can’t get the feisty and intriguing girl out of his head.

Avery has secrets, secrets that keep her from admitting the feelings Cam knows she has for him. Will persistence (and some delicious homemade cookies) help him break down her barriers and gain her trust? Or will he be shut out of Avery's life, losing his first real shot at the kind of love that lasts forever?

 My Thoughts:

4 stars - LOVED being in Cam's head for the story I adored!

This isn't a re-telling of Wait For Me.  It's more of add-on.  We don't go through every scene but we see things from Cam's POV with the extras we missed before.  I really enjoyed being in his head.  His shortcake nickname was perfect and I loved that there were these little details that hearing him think brought.  I love Cam so much.  The way he thinks, the way he acts, the point where he realized he loved her - all very male.  Completely loved him.

It was interesting seeing Avery from Cam's POV too.  I loved Avery so much in Wait For Me but seeing her strange behavior without hearing her thoughts put her in a different light for me.  I still loved her.  I just saw her as Cam did.  And it made me love Cam even more.  His patience with Avery and her struggle to open up to him was incredible.  Made me love them both so much.

It's a quick read and while I didn't read it in one sitting, I could have.  The pesky day job got in the way of reading it faster.

There is no doubt that people who read and loved Wait For Me will want to devour this one as soon as possible.  It's a great addition to this series.  It also has a great sneak peak to book 2, Be With Me.  If you love JLA books, then you want this one too.

  3. I actually liked Avery less while reading this book. Even though I know why she is like that and can sympathize, it was still a bit much and I give props to Cam for sticking through because she is amazing once she learns to let go and open up to him. And yes, I fell even more in love with Cam after this! Swoon! Great review!
