Find complete tour here

Source:Received eBook from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Book Description:

Renner Caldwell has her life perfectly mapped out. She has the ideal relationship, the perfect job and all is right in her world. When a shameful turn of events happens, she boards the first plane bound for Ireland to lick her wounds and get her head back on straight.

Cillian O’Braidagh is the sexy, front man to the Irish rock band, Over The Edge. His rising fame and sultry voice make him every woman’s fantasy come true. Not to mention his single-minded determination. To put it simply: what Cillian wants, Cillian always gets. And he wants Renner, because there’s just something about the flame-haired beauty he has to possess.

If their relationship was just about sex and rock n’ roll, it would be easy for them to get lost in their desires. Only their relationship is anything but a hook-up. Will lies, deceit and hidden tragedy get in the way, making the path to true love uncertain? Or will the girl whose been knocked Off Course, find her footing with the man who is teaching her it’s okay to lose control?

My Thoughts:

4 stars - Cillian has my heart and he can stalk me any day!

I have loved this whole series and this book is no exception.  The Caldwell family has some fun and sexy stories and I can't wait for the next one.

Renner met Cillian five years ago when she spend the summer in Ireland.  The attraction was clear but Renner was only eighteen and not ready for the sexy lead singer.  But when they meet up again, Renner is broken and reeling from a painful breakup.  Is Cillian what she needs?  Damn straight he is!

I like Renner.  I love that she took some chances after being burned and went back to Ireland.  She could have run home and hide with her safe family but she needed space.  Ireland was a good choice.  Spunky yet healing, she's cautious of Cillian but she can't fight the attraction between them.   Well she does try but he's Cillian after all.  The thing is, she has this perfect image of what her perfect man would be and it wasn't anything like Cillian O'Bradaligh.  I think it's something that really resonates with me.  We tend to sell others and even ourselves short because of our ideas of what should be.  Instead of embracing what's right in front of us.  I really enjoyed Renner's journey to figure out what she really did wants.

Cillian O'Bradaigh is this yummy lead singer that plays guitar, writes music and lyrics and is used to getting any women he wants.  His dark looks and sexy attitude are pretty much irresistible.  But Renner is resisting.  She doesn't trust him after the kiss five years ago and her resent issues.  Her resistance doesn't stop him.  He wants her and thinks he can get her "out of his system".  I love it when guys think that.  They're attracted and think they can get over it with a fling.  Go ahead, Cillian, try that fling out why don't you?  Hehe. So he stalks her.  I loved it.  He hangs out at the bar she works at and stalks her.  He walks her home.  He gets to know her despite her best efforts.  It was a nice journey to watch for both of them.

The issues keeping these two apart were a little different than I've seen done before or rather it was done in a unique way.  I won't explain that but I will say that I don't think either of them would have figured out their true feelings without the conflict that fought to keep them apart.  Someone like Cillian is not going to give up being single lightly.  It had to ring true.  This one did.

I loved how the music played such an important role in the story.  The first time they see each other is while he's singing.  The band plays an important role in their relationship issues.  Cillian's song writing is heavily influenced by Renner.  The ending is also heavy dependent on a yummy tune.  The story and the music are woven together and I really like that.  I love stories that focus around band but the music needs to be part of the story not just the setting.  It was this time.

Yeah, how fast did I devour this book?  So here's the deal.  The author had sent me the book earlier in the week.  I knew I had time before my tour post so it really wasn't even on my short list yet.  But I found myself at a place in my schedule that I could actually pick what I wanted to read next.  I flipped through my choices and this one called out to me.  (Yes, books call to me - don't judge).  It was like 10:30PM and I was thinking I'd read for an hour and then go to sleep.  So I opened Off Course.  May I suggest that you never start this book until you are ready to finish it.  At 3:30AM and after only one pee break, I finished.  It's all Cillian's fault.  I totally blame his sexy a$$.

I'm struggling to decide between Bennett's boys.  Nix has been my favorite of the series and I think he still is but Cillian may be tied with him.  I loved Nix's quiet, broody self but I love Cillian's confident sexy ways too.  Oh and did I tell you about his sexy moves? Hmmm...probably shouldn't get into that.  It's pretty steamy.

This is yummy adult romance or yummy NA romance or just a seriously yummy guy!  If that's your thing, then make sure you read Off Course.  This book is part of a series but it can easily stand alone, not that I wouldn't also recommend the rest of the yummy boys in this series. Hehe.

  5. This is a seriously well-written review. I've seen Off Course reviewed and excerpted a bunch of places recently, but I've been avoiding it since it's book four in the series, but it sounds like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and give this series a shot.

  16. I love Ireland, so my attention is caught whenever books mention Ireland or Irish characters. Off course appears to have all those ingredients (hot male protagonist, romance and humour) that make for a delightful day of reading. I'm adding it to my TBR list!
