From Goodreads:

Dylan doesn’t do relationships. He and his older brother watched their dad go through hell and back, so they made a pact years ago—no girl would come between the Gibson boys. But his brother sells out. He's getting married anyway. To the sister of a chick Dylan met at a party, who's probably the angriest girl he's ever met. Unfortunately, she happens to be hot, too.

Ziah’s life is upside down—her safe boyfriend turns out to be not-so-safe, and now her sister is getting married before college is over to the older brother of a spoiled, party boy who drives her crazy. And also makes her heart beat too fast.

There’s no denying the attraction, but there's also no denying how much they irritate each other. When they’re thrown together as forced wedding planners, they find an ally in each other--neither wants this wedding to happen.

But instead of putting a stop to the crazy nuptials they find themselves at fittings and cake testing. And maybe even…a few dates?
Dizzy is a novel about what happens when two people who are determined not to fall in love, maybe do anyway. Maybe.

My Thoughts:

4 stars - Great YA romance that needs your immediate attention!

I was so excited to read this book! Totally love Nyrae Dawn writing boys POV and was excited to see what she would do when paired with Jolene Perry.  I so wasn't disappointed.

Gotta start with Dylan.  You know I love the boys in the books the best! Always will, I think.  Dylan is broken but he hides it well.  His mom broke him when she walked away and never looked back.  The pain was so bad that Dylan is determine to never give his heart away to a girl again.  I love that broken boy image that puts on the strong exterior.  I loved that he was really a sweetheart that wanted to help Ziah when things were falling apart for her.  I loved that he named his car Mary.  I loved how he fought his attraction to Ziah - totally cute.  I just loved Dylan.

Ziah is interesting.  Very studious and a little on the serious side.  She can't believe her sister is getting married before she finishes college.  And boy does Dylan's party boy image annoy her.  It's cute, really, to watch her discover the real boy and for him to get inside her protective walls.  They need each other to heal from different things but the medicine is clearly time together.  Their attraction is clear as well as their feeling but it took them a bit to figure it out.  Completely fun.

The story was fast paced and I stayed up late to finish it.  Could have read it in one sitting but I forced myself to do it in two.

My only issue with this book was the timing.  A couple of places I felt like things were confusing as to when things were happening.  Bachelor parties and rehearsal dinners seemed to be conflicting.  I wasn't really worried about it - just made me wonder.

If you like great YA romance than this one needs your immediate attention!

  2. Yes! I'm so glad you liked this! I want to read it so bad already, but need to get some of the "to-read" books out of the way. Nyrae never disappoints, nor does Jolene. Thank you for sharing:)
