Good For You (Between the Lines #3) by Tammara Webber

Source: purchased

Note of caution: This book contains adult content.

My Summary:

Reid, the heart throb superstar, wakes up in the hospital with no memory of totaling his band new car. into someone's house.  Even his high powered attorney father can't get him out of this one without some restitution.   That comes in the form of court ordered community service.  Trying to control the PR damage, Reid has no choice but to help build the new house for the family he displaced.  Reporting his first day to work, he meets Dori, local humanitarian and preachers daughter.  She's not impressed by Reid's star status.  She's not interested in babysitting him through his forced volunteering.  But she's not counting on the sudden pull she feels towards him.  He's surprised by her lack of interest.  Can they survive the month without killing each other?  Could be close.

My thoughts:

4 stars - a great read

Having read the first two books, I was excited to get to this one.  Book two left some hints that Reid might be redeemable but you never know with a bad boy like him.  So I was interested in this heroine, Dori, the one that could bring the mighty Reid down.  Just kidding.  I did love Dori.  She's strong yet she struggles.  She's sure of herself but she falls apart when life throws her  curve balls.  I really liked that about her.  It's hard to be strong all the time.  When things are hard, it's nice to know that even the confident struggle.  She doesn't want to be attracted to Reid but she is.  She has her reasons for resisting and I couldn't blame her once I discovered those reasons.  She puts up quite the battle and poor Reid is so confused by her that I found myself feeling sorry for him.  Really!  The bad boy who uses and loses who can't even kiss the girl.  Love that.  But Reid is persistent and something else happens that I was very excited to see.  Of wait, can't tell you that one.  Okay, I'll just say that Reid may have grown-up a tad bit in this book. =)

As for the ending of this one, I loved it.  Actually, there were loose ends that got tied up from the first two books that I was glad about and one particular comment that I was very happy with.  Fell in love with Reid in this book.  Didn't really care for him in the first two books but he redeemed himself.

This book is a fabulously funny and romantically intense story that you should for sure pick-up.  Make sure to read book one and two first.  Way too many spoilers otherwise.
