Four Houses by Tori Scott

Released today

by

Tori Scott

From Goodreads

Description:
A young girl faced with four choices, must make a decision that will forever haunt her.

Excerpt:
The door in front of me is the ugliest shade of plum I’ve ever seen. It’s a prune Grandma would eat, a raisin on its last leg, a swollen bruise in the most inconvenient of places.

The waiting is the worst part, wondering who will open the door. But this time the waiting is killing me, tearing me down piece by piece and devouring me with its insatiable jaws.

I bite my lip and raise my hand to knock.

My thoughts:

5 stars - a must read

Four houses is a short story so I'm not going to do a summary and regular review because you just need to experience this one!

Let me just say that Tori is brilliant in her construction of an incredible story that unfolds in a unique and interesting way.

Our character, and I won't even name her, is presented with a choice between four houses.  This choice will have long reaching consequences that she will have to live with.  Which will she choose?

It doesn't matter what genre is your thing - because you need to read this story!  Enjoy the read.

  1. I'm not a huge fan of short stories... but this one sounds really good!!

  2. I haven't read many short stories, but this book seems to be really mysterious! The extract itself has so much suspense already, and the cover is so edgy.
