Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?

So you want to know who I would want to spend an hour with? Hmm. I'd have to start with Cassandra Claire (The Mortal Instruments).  I absolutely love her books and would love to spend time talking to her about her inspiration and her characters.  Hopefully, I wouldn't go all fan-girl and embarrass myself. =)

After that obvious choice, it gets a lot harder to choose.  The last two would be a tie between three.  So I know I'm not following the rules here but when have I ever?  I follow all three of these women on twitter and know a little bit about their personalities.  It would be fun to get all three of them together to talk books.  I would choose Julie Kagawa (The Iron Fey series), Josephine Angelini (Starcrossed) and Jennifer L. Armentrout (Half-Blood).

My three choices, turned four are:

Cassandra Clare

Julie Kagawa

Josephine Angelini

Jennifer L. Armentrout

What about you?  Which authors would you want to spend an hour with?

  2. I'm worried about fangirling around my favorite authors, too. I'd want to make a good impression, but I'd also want to let them know how much their work enthuses me! It's a fine line to walk. :-)

  26. Cassandra Clare is one I would like to meet, too, even though I've always been uneasy about the similarities between her (very good) Harry Potter fanfiction and her published novels. She's a brilliant writer, either way. Haven't read books by your other authors, but Half-Blood sounds intriguing.

Thanks for stopping by my hop earlier, and I hope you have a great weekend! :)

  29. I really must read Starcrossed. Everyone is raving about it!

I would love to meet Brenna Yovanoff, the author of The Replacement. If you liked The Iron Fey, you would really enjoy that one also... about a teen boy who knows he's a fairy changeling. I loved it.

  34. I JUST finished Starcrossed, so I 100 percent agree with your pick of Josephine Angelini! I really enjoyed her book and would love to discuss what it's like to be a first-time author!

I also picked a debut author- Veronica Roth! I loved Divergent and would DIE to meet this author in real life!
